What do you do when there are more applicants then jobs?
According to Linked in database, there are 900 applications per job; this is a threefold increase from July 2020.
The trend that exists amongst many job seekers is to apply for any job regardless of the job description and competencies required.
Applying aimlessly using the same CV, will affect your self- worth as most of these applications will be a miss.
So, what should you do?
Look at the job description and ensure that you meet it before applying. Looking for rejection without giving yourself a fair chance will only affect your confidence levels.
You might have skills, knowledge and attitude that you are not aware of, so look for support and qualified advice to identify it and bring it to the fore in every application, increasing your chances of success and give you an advantage. Invest in yourself and be ahead of the competition on the job market.
