‘It is lonely at the top’ -an adage which never lost its meaning. Employees look at top leaders for answers, they blame all the organisational issues on leadership and with media at everyone’s fingertips, things can be taken out of context and the cancel culture can quickly envelope even the most resilient and safe leadership figure.

Top leaders are most of the time sheltered from the reality of the organisation by the different layers of power and politics; they rarely know the truth about employee ‘matters beyond the official surveys and yet, they are responsible for it all.

Leaders need a space to think, reflect, confront the different mini selves, continuously learn and develop despite the levels of expertise they reach, and have someone to reflect back what others may not be qualified to do or may fear to speak.
